Official Nintendo Gameboy 2 Player Link Cable to link two original gameboy consoles - Part Number DMG-04

Original Gameboys have larger 'DMG' sockets.
'MGB' refers to the smaller connector type used on the Pocket/Color/Printer
The 'AGB' socket on GBA games is the same size as the 'MGB' socket but GB/GBC games, however, don't work with GBA cables.

DMG-04 (DMG-to-DMG cable) : Game Link Cable which connects 2 original Gameboys

Other official cables:
DMG-07 (four-player adapter): The adapter connects to one Game Boy. Each of the other three players will need to plug into the adapter with their own Game Link Cable(DMG-04)

DMG-14 (MGB-to-DMG adapter): The Universal Game Link Adapter (model DMG-14) features a small second generation socket and a first generation plug. The adapter can be used in conjunction with either the MGB-008 or the CGB-003 (both sold separately) to connect a Game Boy Original console to a Game Boy Color or Game Boy Pocket, and features a thin plastic harness allowing it to be clipped on to either cable.

MGB-004 (DMG-to-MGB adapter): Allows an original DMG Game Boy to connect to a Game Boy Pocket/Color.

MGB-008 (MGB-to-MGB cable): The MGB-008 features the smaller second generation connectors on both ends, allowing two Game Boy Pockets to link.

MGB-010 (MGB-to-DMG/MGB cable): The Universal Game Link Cable (model MGB-010) features the smaller second generation connector on one end, for connection to the Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Color or Gameboy Printer. The cable splits into both a second generation (Game Boy Pocket & Color) and first generation (Game Boy Original) connector at the other end (although only one connector at this end can be used at any given time). This lead came with the Gameboy Printer and was not sold separately.

CGB-003 (MGB-to-MGB cable, same as MGB-008): The CGB-003 features the smaller second generation connectors on both ends, allowing two Game Boy Colors to link. It can also be used to connect a Game Boy Pocket to a Game Boy Color, or two Game Boy Pocket consoles together.

AGB-005(AGB to AGB connector): GBA games require GBA-specific cables. Nintendo only ever made one version. You only need three of them for a full four-player setup.
