Joe and his girlfriend Silvia are enjoying a night out at the cinema, watching their favourite superhero Captain Blue in action, when something mysterious happens - Silvia is sucked into the screen by a celluloid monster. In his bold attempt to save her, Joe too enters the movie world. While searching for Silvia, he encounters Captain Blue who gives him the powerful V-Watch and grants him the ability to transform into Viewtiful Joe, a powerful, butt-kicking superhero.
