Maximo is an all-new 3D platform game that is thematically inspired by Capcom’s much-loved Ghosts 'n' Goblins and Ghouls 'n' Ghosts arcade machines from the mid 80s/early 90s.

Can't a noble knight go away to war without having all heck break loose back home? Not this time. You control the fate of the gallant Maximo, who returns home to find his kingdom in shambles. Your once-trusted advisor, Achille, has wrought evil on the land. Not only is the countryside filled with hordes of the roaming undead, but the four wise sorceresses have been imprisoned at the four corners of the kingdom, and to make matters worse, your girlfriend, Princess Sophia, has been forced to marry the scoundrel Achille. Talk about bad days! Help Maximo rescue the sorceresses, restore good to the kingdom, and whup Achille's butt. And while you're at it, get your girl back.

Controlling the titular Maximo, you'll explore a lush 3D world as you attempt to prevent an evil knight from wreaking havoc on the once beautiful kingdom. To this end, you'll explore a series of themed locations within which you battle a number of unearthly creatures, avoid perilous obstacles and traverse the deadly locations armed with a sword, armour and whatever you find along the way. Maximo presents a modern take on one of the most popular video game genres of all time.
