The King has been kidnapped and Axel, Tara and Karo are to set out on a quest to free him and destroy the evil alliance of the felonious brother and Morlock before it's too late.

There is chaos and despair in the kingdom of Tokavia. The King's felonious brother has been exiled to live as an outlaw in the outer rims of the world after several violent attempts to assassinate the King and take over the throne. Consumed by hate and greed, he does not plan on living in oblivion for long. Consulting a dark sorcerer, the evil brother learns the power of black magic and the King's safety is in question.

After years of studying, the King's evil brother allies himself with Morlock the Soulthief, in a pact that guarantees Morlock the people's souls for all eternity. A plan has been set into action and the King's life is in mortal danger.

In the castle of the King, the loyal guards Axel, Tara and Karo stand guard outside the door to the throne room. A deafening noise is heard and the guards find a hideous gargoyle standing with the motionless body of the King in its arms. As Axel moves towards the gargoyle, two monsters step out of the darkness to attack the trio, giving the gargoyle the chance to escape
