Neo Geo released two
systems, an arcade Standard console the Neo-Geo MVS (Multi-Video System)
and a home platform. These would both play games that were interchangeable
and brought Arcade games literally into the home for the first time.
Games came on Cartridges and were very expensive at the time. A CD
based version was released in 1994 which was considerably cheaper.
Recently added to retro-games
after the announcement that the Neo Geo Pocket was being shelved in
Europe and in the US. The Neo Geo pocket is an excellent machine with
some classic retro games such as Pac-Man, new original RPG games such
as Faselei and of course loads of beatem ups ie King of Fighters or
Last Blade.
